Art in temporary passageway at Oslo Airport Gardermoen OSL
2014

Oslo Airport Gardermoen is going through major reconstructions. During this time some of the flights use the gates at a temporary terminal, that you need to walk through a long corridor to get to. As you maneuver your luggage along what seems to be an endless corridor, your mood is lightened by art. On the walls and on some windows there are words, sentences and numbers that read the same whether you are inbound or outbound. The term for these are Palindromes. For instance "Olson is in Oslo" or "Radar" or "20:02 20.02.2002". Next time I am flying through OSL I am almost hoping to be sent to the infamous Pir Syd terminal, just to enjoy the artwork again.

(A funfact: The longest singular palindrome in the world is Finnish: saippuakivikauppias" - someone that trades with lye (sodium hydroxide).)
