Archeological festival

Archeological festival
- a 2nd hand history and improbable obsessions
20.6.-24.8.14
Tartu Art Museum

In this exhibition art is mixed with architecture, and the art plays with history, with the museum itself, and of course with the visitors. The first impression is when I enter a jungle of plants, mixed with photos of archaeological finds. Then on the next floor I see myself in a video that at the same time shows people that has passed through this room before me, like short-time history. After all this historic memory is only as old as this exhibition. Then the idea of a museum is messed with, as well as this museum building itself, both physical and metaphorical. The exhibition also contains lots of videos, but honestly these are not what catch my attention. I end up making silly movements in front of the historic video recorder, not thinking about that this will be the impression that will be left of me. Afterwards I may regret it, but then it is too late.
